Message from Alumni President

I would like to thank you for reposing faith in my work and commitment to the alumni association and unanimously electing me as President of the association.

I take this opportunity to congratulate all the new office bearers of the association. You have given us a good team. With their work and co-operation, I am sure we will reach new heights in the working of the association.

The outgoing team has set a high standard. I must congratulate them for bringing the association to this level of health and well being! We are now recognized as an association that means business. We are known to meet deadlines and have logical, well thought out programmes.

I assure you that the new team will do everything it can, to carry forward and improve upon the good work done so far. For this, we need your continued support and good wishes. Above all, we need your active participation in the activities of the association. This participation may take several forms as follows:

1. Giving donations for new projects.

2. Sponsoring the digital library

3. Recruiting new members

4. Participating in the academic inputs to the college

5. Giving constructive suggestions regarding new projects for the betterment of the college.

I am sure you will help us help BMC become a model institution.

Message from Chairman - BMC DEVELOPMENT TRUST

ANOTHER TRYST WITH DESTINY
By now, you are doubtless aware that the BMC Alumni Association along with the BMC Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee and the students, faculty and authorities of BMC have successfully celebrated the Golden Jubilee of Bangalore Medical College. By common consent. the celebrations exceeded all expectations, with many who attended calling it an " once in a lifetime experience and the biggest event ever held at BMC. Yes, perhaps the celebrations were indeed a great success. But this is to a great extent because we executed the project we had taken up-building and dedicating a Digital library/ Seminar Hall complex to BMC successfully, meeting all deadlines. A glorious testimony to the dedicated team of alumni which wiped out the trepidations in the minds of the people and has instilled growing confidence that we can do much more to our alma mater.

What next? We have to move on. Set new goals and objectives. Hence the BMC Development Trust. While the BMC Alumni Association will continue to bring the various generations of BMCians together, its child the BMC Development trust, will concentrate on taking up new infrastructure projects to improve BMC

Now we plan to maintain the greenery in the college, modernize the Pathology Lecture Hall and take up modernization of the Pre clinical Departments – Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry – so that they will complete with the best in the world
